Book Review #6: The Complete Life of John Hopkins

-Summary-
What are the most important things in life? You have to fall in love. You have to go to war. You have to be poor. Nobody’s life is complete without these three things. John Hopkins learned this in a very short time.
In the Big City, important things happen, and they happen quietly.
John Hopkins was the same as a thousand other men. Mrs. Hopkins was the same as a thousand other women. They lived in an apartment that was the same as a thousand other apartments in the Big City. There was no love or war in this apartment, and they weren’t poor.
But one night, the life of John Hopkins became complete.

-Impressions-
When I read this book for the first time, I couldn’t understand a relation between the opening and the ending. But, after I read again and again, I found there were three important things such as a little war, falling in love with a young woman and poverty. It was very interesting that the opening was connected to the ending. I really enjoyed reading this story.
