Book Review #5: The Borrowers

-Summary-
“Borrowers” are very small and very clever. They only borrow, not steal, things they must have from human beings.
The lender family are human beings and the Clock family are “Borrowers”. They live happily together in an old house.
One day, Mr. Potter, a lawyer comes to insist on his right to pull down the house. He says the owner of the house Aunt Mary, who is Mrs. Lender’s sister, didn’t write a letter. So, Mr. Potter wants to pull down the house in order to build a new flat.
Arrietty Clock decides to keep Mr. Potter away from the house. Thanks to thousands of borrowers, finally Mr. Potter gives up. The lender and the Clock can get back the house again!

-Impressions-
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting and exciting, especially when Mr. Potter put a waste paper basket over the borrowers.
There are several stories about these very small people. When I was a high school student, I have seen one of these stories on video. I found some differences between them. I’d like to read or see other stories about the borrowers.
