I read "Helen Keller" this week.
Young Helen Keller was blind and deaf because of a high fever.
She lived in the dark and the silence, however, Anne Sullivan who was a wonderful teacher from a special school, taught her how to express her thoughts. Helen discovered a new exciting world.
I knew this story in Japanese, but I had not read this story in English.
So, I can have read the book easier and sooner than I expected.
I can hardly imagine that I am both blind and deaf. I was moved by her courage in the dark.
I would like to emulate her behavior of her positive attitude toward anything new.
